How to create a quote
Building a quote in MetoCRM: choosing the patient, the currency and invoice date, then the service lines.
Where to find it
OffersNew Offer
The quote is the document a medical tourism sale turns on: treatment lines, accommodation, transfer and a total on one page. It is what the patient looks at while comparing clinics, so it has to be produced both quickly and consistently.
In MetoCRM a quote belongs to a patient, and that also settles its visibility: if you can see the patient you can see the quote. A quote has no visibility setting of its own.
Before you start
- The patient record must exist.
- Define your products in advance so lines can be picked quickly.
- Upload an offer template for a branded document.
Step by step
- Click on "New Offer" from the Offers section in the menu.

- Firstly, select the patient for whom you are preparing the offer, and then choose the Currency and Invoice Date for the offer you will provide.

- After that, choose the category in which you want to create the offer. Fill in the relevant fields for Service and Quantity, and then click on the Save button.

- You can view and edit the offers you have prepared by clicking on the Offers button.
Tips and common mistakes
- Careful Choose the currency and invoice date deliberately. Medical tourism quotes are usually written in EUR or USD, and on a quote that sits for a few weeks the exchange rate can eat the margin.
- Tip To discount, use a coupon code rather than lowering a line price: the discount shows as its own line and stays measurable in reporting.
- Tip After sending a quote, update the patient's follow-up status and set a reminder — an unchased quote is an unsent quote.
Frequently asked questions
Who can see a quote?
Anyone who can see the patient, with the relevant permission. A quote has no group or owner of its own; the rule is entirely patient visibility.
How do I send the quote to the patient as a PDF?
Download the PDF from the panel and send it. Since 1 September 2026 patient-portal PDF links require sign-in and a patient can only open their own document; direct links shared before that no longer work.
Can I edit a quote?
Yes, if you have the permission and access to the patient. Deleting is a separate permission.
Can I prepare several quotes for one patient?
Yes, and in medical tourism that is normal — separate quotes per package option read far more clearly than three alternatives stacked into one.
