How to define appointment services
Defining the services that occupy a slot on the appointment calendar, with a name, a colour and a duration in minutes.
Where to find it
System SettingsAppointment Services
An appointment service is the definition of work that opens a slot on the calendar: a first consultation, a follow-up, a pre-operative assessment. Each has its own duration, and the block drawn on the calendar follows it.
It has three fields: Name, Color and Process Time (As minutes).
Step by step
- Name — what the team calls the service.
- Color — so it can be told apart on the calendar.
- Process Time (As minutes) — the duration in minutes; the calendar block is drawn from it.
Tips and common mistakes
- Tip Enter the real duration, not the ideal one. Defining a twenty-minute consultation as ten means the second half of every day slips systematically.
- Tip Choose colours by family — consultations in one tone, operations in another. A readable calendar comes from colour discipline.
Frequently asked questions
If I change a duration, do existing appointments shift?
The duration is used when new appointments are calculated. Review the calendar after changing it.
Is an appointment service the same as a product?
No. A product is what you sell and price; an appointment service is work that takes up calendar time. The same treatment can be both, for different purposes.
